Overview

The Huvitz HRKT-1 combines advanced objective refraction and keratometry with 24-ring Placido corneal topography in one integrated platform. With more than 100,000 corneal analysis points, detailed mapping, and applications for corneal assessment, contact lens fitting, and Ortho-K, the HRKT-1 gives practices a powerful combination of Ref/K and topography technology in a single device. Integrated dry eye and visual quality analysis add even greater clinical versatility.

Huvitz HRKT-1 Auto Refractor/Keratometer & Corneal Topographer

The Huvitz HRKT-1 is a multifunction auto refractor/keratometer and corneal topographer designed to bring objective refractive measurements and detailed corneal analysis together in one streamlined platform.

For objective refraction and keratometry, the HRKT-1 provides baseline refractive error and corneal curvature measurements for use throughout the examination workflow. Its refractometry range extends to ±20.00 D sphere and ±12.00 D cylinder, while integrated keratometry provides corneal curvature, refractive power, white-to-white, and principal meridian measurements.

Where the HRKT-1 goes beyond a traditional autorefractor is its integrated 24-ring Placido corneal topography system. More than 100,000 analysis points provide a dense foundation for evaluating the anterior corneal surface, with Axial, Tangential, Elevation, and Refractive maps available for detailed interpretation of corneal shape, curvature, irregularity, and power distribution.

Topography applications extend beyond basic mapping. The HRKT-1 supports corneal irregularity and astigmatism assessment, keratoconus risk screening, Zernike analysis, and contact lens and Ortho-K fitting applications. Map-based curvature and eccentricity information can also support fitting and follow-up assessment.

In addition to its core Ref/K and topography capabilities, the HRKT-1 incorporates dry eye assessment and visual quality analysis, allowing practices to gather additional tear-film, ocular-surface, pupil, and aberration information without adding another disconnected platform.

For practices looking to upgrade beyond a conventional ARK, the HRKT-1 offers a more comprehensive approach by combining refractive measurement and high-density corneal topography in one device.
