Overview

The Optos Daytona is a fast, non-mydriatic ultra-widefield retinal imaging system designed for efficient screening and early detection of retinal disease. It captures up to 200° of the retina in a single image in under 0.5 seconds, allowing clinicians to view the macula through the far periphery—often without dilation.

Optos Daytona Ultra-Widefield Retinal Camera

The Optos Daytona is a fast, non-mydriatic ultra-widefield retinal imaging system designed for efficient screening and early detection of retinal disease. It captures up to 200° of the retina in a single image in under 0.5 seconds, allowing clinicians to view the macula through the far periphery—often without dilation.

Using optomap® technology, Daytona delivers consistent, high-resolution images even through small pupils (as small as 2 mm) and many cataracts. This makes it ideal for busy primary care practices looking to improve retinal evaluation without slowing patient flow.

Key Features

  • 200° single-capture ultra-widefield retinal image

  • Non-mydriatic, non-contact imaging for patient comfort and speed

  • Multiple imaging modalities: color, red-free (sensory), choroidal, and autofluorescence

  • 3-in-1 Color Depth Imaging™ to visualize layers from the retinal surface through the choroid

  • Autofluorescence imaging to highlight lipofuscin in the RPE

  • Stereo disc imaging for optic nerve head evaluation

Workflow Benefits

  • Images captured in seconds and available immediately

  • DICOM-compatible software for easy EHR and telehealth integration

  • Digital image storage for comparison, monitoring, and referrals
